I really enjoy the top one. The curves of the letters fit together so well and you show that nicely. The red circles also work really well to mirror the curves in your font.
I agree with everyone else here. The only thing I'm not too crazy about on the first poster is, interestingly enough, the white background. I'd love to see the poster in the palette you used for the second one! But you did an amazing job with scale and placement of the letters. Even the call-out circles look great. Very well done.
I agree with everyone else - these are simple but interesting. Have you tried using something other than circles to highlight the parts of the letter that are important? I like the circles but you could use something else as well to create an even better composition!

i agree with Austin they are simple but get the idea across to the viewer-with the way the characters fit together.
